From January to March, you can enjoy pond smelt
fishing on the completely frozen Lake Akan.

We make the pond smelt which you fished tempura
at the inn. The pleasure increases!

Children can fish, too!


The scenery of the lake and Mt. Meakan is spreading at once
from the backyard of Inn Yamaguchi.



There is a tent on the surface of the lake,
which is 5-minute-walk from the inn.


We have various kind of fishing rod!



It is very warm in the tent.
You can enjoy fishing without feeling cold.
You shouldn't miss it!

We guarantee that you would be fascinated while learning
how to fish. If you know the right point and time,
the pond smelt takes a bite at every cast of your line.
A lady from Singapore and her Japanese friend fell into
pond smelt fishing, and changed a schedule,
stayed several days and enjoyed fishing!


They fished 250 pond smelts (gross weight was 1 kg!)
in about 1 and a half hour.

There is a firework at night!
A fireworks display at Lake Akan is held every day until the end of March.


<Akan Tancho no Sato>

During the winter, from early November to
early April, it is possible to see the
elegant appearance of the Tancho crane at
"The Akan International Crane Center".
It is about 45 minutes' drive from the inn.






The visitors from the foreign countries are welcomed!
